Avaz at Vidya Sagar

 
  This video was shot in Vidya Sagar just before the launch of Avaz. By then, several children had already become quite familiar with using it. Since Avaz was a total novelty at that time in India, we wanted to give our viewers an idea of what CP is, why AAC devices are needed, and what Avaz can do.
     
Kiran Using AVAZ at Spastics Society of Karnataka
Kiran is a student at Spastics Society of Karnataka, Bangalore. He has just started using Avaz for his communication needs. Kiran's needs are complex because he has CP with severe hearing impairment. So his teachers use signing to communicate with him, but he uses Avaz to respond. Kiran uses Avaz in picture mode with a number of customizations. Though initially a bit shy, Kiran is very loquacious and loves to communicate through Avaz. In this video, he is talking with his teacher about festivals.
 
   
Mukul Using AVAZ at Spastics Society of Karnataka
Mukul is a student at Spastics Society of Karnataka, Bangalore. He has been using Avaz for about 6 months and is now using it in a classroom environment. In this video, Mukul and his teacher are interacting in geography class using Avaz. Mukul has CP and he is in his 7th standard. He is very intelligent and loves talking about cricket.
